Schirm Oertel on TV

the following clips are in German, but we’re now working on subtitles and translations into English. In the meantime, though, please bear with us. In any event, they can still offer a good impression of what we have to offer.

RTL at Schirm Oertel

During the relatively rainy summer of 2002 the RTL TV staff posed the question of whether you can draw conclusions about personality based on the type of umbrella a person carries. Where better to learn about this than with us! (Duration: 2 minutes)

Schirm Oertel as a school project

Under the title "with an umbrella and charm in Bremen" two student teachers from Bremen carried out a film project about our business. Although a microphone is constantly cutting into the picture, you can still learn quite a bit about our products from viewing it (even if you don’t understand German). (Duration: 6 minutes)

ARD/Radio Bremen coverage of the annual conference in Bremen of the Association of Umbrella Specialist Shops in Germany

In May 2003 Schirm Oertel was the host for the annual conference of the Association of Umbrella Specialist Shops in Germany. Radio Bremen produced a humorous TV report about the conference. (Duration: around 2 minutes)

ARD/Radio Bremen on the subject of the "hot spring" of 2003

The unusually hot spring of 2003 elicited unexpected feelings of happiness and well-being among many people, and among many companies as well. Ice cream stands, swimming clubs, and street cafes were among the happy ones, while solariums, farmers, and naturally of course Schirm Oertel were not part of this group - as our Managing Director frankly admits in this clip. (Duration: ca. 5 minutes)

Weather report by Schirm Oertel

Reporting the weather here is the second owner of Schirm Oertel - Ms Dorrit Gramke - giving the forecast for Radio Bremen. The weather on this day was variable - some rain, a few clouds, and a couple of rays of sun poking through occasionally. Pick out this kind of day, and then watch the clip - an accurate forecast for a change!  ;-))

Weather report by Schirm Oertel

Presenting the weather here on Radio Bremen is our Managing Director, Mr Rainer Gramke. Of course the forecast is somewhat dated, but you're still able to get an overview of our inventory of rain boots.
