Oertel Handmade Sterling Silver

Traditional umbrella craftsmanship in perfection. A handcrafted gentlemen’s umbrella with a continuous black lacquered shaft made of beech wood. The unmistakable look of the this umbrella is dominated by the sterling silver handle. The canopy is made of a high-quality deep black polyester fabric.
All technical details normally visible are sewn with fabric making them invisible. No plastic parts are used for this umbrella. It comes with a case made of the same material as the canopy for protection if, for example, the umbrella is used as a walking stick.

Brigg Cherry - pure silk
(Cherry Wood)

This indeed is a typical British gentlemen's umbrella, and probably the most elegant and popular Brigg. The lower shaft and handle are made of one continuous and solid piece of wood. The handle and lower shaft are highly polished in order to highlight the vibrant and slightly reddish play of the cherry wood colours. This umbrella is simply beautiful.

The canopy is made of pure silk, deep black and opaque. The silk (real silk, not parachute silk) is woven for Brigg by means of the high-quality three-step method. The frame is made of tempered steel in order to withstand even "worst case" English weather. The handle is embellished with a silver plate royal warrant collar engraved with the coat-of-arms of the Prince of Wales.

Oertel Handmade Perlbamboo

This umbrella is a rare treasure and an example of true traditional umbrella craftsmanship in perfection.
The bamboo handle with the ribbons around the handle are looking like pearls. Therefore it is named "Perlbambus" in German. The stick is specially made for the diameter of the handle shaft. It looks like a solid one piece stick and handle.
This handcrafted gentlemen's umbrella comes with a 20 mm shaft made of beech wood for extra stability. The frame is especially stable and consists of 8 black lacquered very strong ribs. The canopy is made of a high-quality deep black polyester fabric.
No plastic parts are used for this umbrella. All technical details normally visible are sewn with fabric making them invisible. The umbrella comes with two holding straps, each with a mother-of-pearl button. It comes with a case made of the same material as the canopy for protection if, for example, the umbrella is used as a walking stick. We also include a black cloth carrying bag to protect the entire umbrella, including canopy and handle.

Oertel Handmade Ladies Star - pure silk

For many years our handmade umbrellas for gentlemen have been the benchmark in terms of quality and exclusivity - worldwide. We have been asked many times for ladies umbrellas of the same quality. Here it is, this ladies umbrella matches our handmade gentlemen's umbrellas in terms of traditional craftsmanship as well as quality and attention to detail.
The canopy of this umbrella looks like two intertwinded stars. The outer side of the canopy is made of pure silk and the inner side is made of high-quality polyester-satin with a piping border.
The 8 extra-strong ribs are black lacquered. All metal peaces consist of shining gold-like brass. The stable wooden shaft is stained in black and sports a stable yet slim black handle.
While closed the umbrella's canopy is held together with a shining gold-like metal ring.
The umbrella ships with a black bag that can be used to carry the umbrella on the shoulder.

Ferré - Star Double

A classic and elegant automatic designer umbrella with a double canopy. The outer canopy is made of deep black satin and the inner canopy is made of black satin competely covered with silver shiny stars. Both canopies are aligned with black piping and the silver-coloured frame is completely hidden between the canopies.

The expressive acrylic see-through handle is filled with shining tiny silverdust pieces. The handle sports the name "Ferré, Milano" in silver. The tie-band is covered with printed silver-coloured shiny stars and a big silver button.

An espeically elegant variation of the well known Fornasetti motif. The outer canopy is made of golden or silber lurex fabric and sports a shiny border.
The impressive inside of the canopy sports the mysterious image of a woman in eight different variations. Depending on the colour of the canopy the frame is either silver- or gold-coloured and comes with a handle in the same colour. It comes with a black fabric case and can be carried around the shoulder.
