A handcrafted gentlemen’s umbrella with a continuous stick (meaning shaft and handle are made of one natural piece of wood) of Canadian Maple. Oertel Handmade Perlbamboo

his umbrella is a rare treasure and an example of true traditional umbrella craftsmanship in perfection.
The bamboo handle with the ribbons around the handle are looking like pearls. Therefore it is named "Perlbambus" in German. The stick is specially made for the diameter of the handle shaft. It looks like a solid one piece stick and handle.
This handcrafted gentlemen’s umbrella comes with a 20 mm shaft made of beech wood for extra stability. The frame is especially stable and consists of 8 black lacquered very strong ribs. The canopy is made of a high-quality deep black polyester fabric.
No plastic parts are used for this umbrella. All technical details normally visible are sewn with fabric making them invisible. An elegant and classic gentlemen’s umbrella as the ideal travel companion. Due to the strict hand baggage regulations in many airports, umbrellas must be checked-in together with luggage. However, most umbrellas are too long to be stowed in suitcases - leaving pocket umbrellas as the only compromise. This umbrella is a standard size long umbrella with a twist - the handle and the top can be removed so it can easily be transported in a suitcase. Each section of the umbrella contains a thread made of solid brass.
