This umbrella is a rare treasure and an example of true traditional umbrella craftsmanship in perfection. The precious handle is made of rare mother-of-pearl, applied in small plates by hand. The typical shine of mother-of-pearl - depending on the lighting - has a slight tendency towards green.
This handcrafted gentlemen’s umbrella comes with a continuous black lacquered shaft made of beech wood. The canopy is made of a high-quality deep black polyester fabric. No plastic parts are used for this umbrella. All technical details normally visible are sewn with fabric making them invisible.
The umbrella comes with two holding straps, each with a mother-of-pearl button. The shaft has a diameter of 20 mm for extra stability. Oertel Handmade travel umbrella

An elegant and classic gentlemen’s umbrella as the ideal travel companion. Due to the strict hand baggage regulations in many airports, umbrellas must be checked-in together with luggage. However, most umbrellas are too long to be stowed in suitcases - leaving pocket umbrellas as the only compromise. This umbrella is a standard size long umbrella with a twist - the handle and the top can be removed so it can easily be transported in a suitcase. Each section of the umbrella contains a thread made of solid brass.
